Update 4th January
Dear Parents and Carers,
Firstly, I would like to thank the teaching and admin staff at St Martin’s for their hard work in preparing to welcome your children back to school tomorrow.
It is testimony to their determination to be their very best, that puts us in a position where we are able to open for key workers and vulnerable children at such short notice.
My thanks also to the admin team, for updating the details regarding Home Learning over the Christmas break, enabling us to work swiftly to adapt provision at short notice, following the announcement from the Prime Minister this evening.
If you have already completed and returned your form, requesting a Key Worker place in the event of a closure, we will be in a position to offer your child a place tomorrow.
Please email the office via firstname.lastname@example.org - IF YOU ARE NOT INTENDING TO TAKE UP THE PLACE THAT YOU HAVE REQUESTED.
If your child is remaining at home, we will be sharing work via the Google Classroom, as soon as we are able to tomorrow.
The teachers met today and have responded to some of the suggestions from the home learning questionnaire, sent out by Governors before Christmas, in order to improve our home learning offer.
Log in details were sent home with all children in September, accompanied by an A4 book to record learning activities - email the office if you do not have this.
If you have questions about whether or not we are able to offer your child a place, please email as soon as you are able to and bear with us as we work to respond to your emails. Please only contact us if you have not already requested a place.
Start and finish times remain the same and we will update parents and carers tomorrow once we have a clearer idea of our final numbers.
We would ask that all parents and carers to make it an absolute priority to follow ALL the government guidance.
Staying at home and not mixing at all, with other households.
Please maintain a good social distance and wear a face covering if you are delivering or picking up children from school.
It is crucial that we are all on the same page here and that we share the responsibility for maintaining the health of our community, especially if you have children on our site.
Please be meticulous at informing the office via - email@example.com if a family member had been in contact with someone with Covid, has symptoms themselves or if they have a positive test result. At our end, this will prompt clarification from PHE and enable us to make quick decisions in the interests of everyone’s health and wellbeing.
Thank you so much for your proactive support here.
we will aim to respond to emails as quickly as we are able to.
PLEASE be patient.
